As part of this addition, CFA Australia will now offer an expanded range of disability access, inclusion and advisory services, including:

Disability Access and Inclusion Plans (DAIPs)

CFA Australia provides specialist support to federal, state and local government agencies, as well as community and commercial organisations, to develop, review and evaluate Disability Access and Inclusion Plans (DAIPs) or their equivalents.

These services include:

  • DAIP review and development
  • Advice on best practice
  • Community and stakeholder consultation
  • Planning and implementation support
  • Accessibility audits and assessments
  • Resource development and guidance materials
  • Presentations to senior executives/elected members and staff

Resource Development

We develop accessible resources that help organisations improve understanding of accessibility and inclusion while providing practical guidance for implementation.

Resources can be produced in a range of accessible formats and tailored to meet specific organisational requirements across federal, state and local government, community organisations and the private sector.

Examples of our work include:

Accessible and Inclusive Recruiting

Supporting Volunteers with Disability

Effective Communication with People with Disability

User Experience Audits

Our user experience audits aim to help organisations understand how people with disability interact with their services, facilities, information and environments.

Audits identify barriers to accessibility and inclusion and provide practical recommendations for improvement, helping organisations to create a more accessible and inclusive experience for staff, customers and communities.

Learning and Development

CFA Australia delivers tailored learning and development programs for people with disability, families and carers, and staff from government, community and commercial organisations.

Training can be customised to meet organisational needs, such as:

  • General disability awareness
  • Accessible and inclusive practices
  • Accessible and inclusive environments
  • Signage and wayfinding
  • Accessible information
  • Accessible events
  • Inclusive employment

Our programs build knowledge, strengthen skills and support organisations to create more inclusive workplaces and communities.
