Freedom Scientific has released a new JAWS update, with fixes to make Facebook and Reddit easier to navigate with a screen reader.
Released on 30 September, the update fixes several issues affecting people using JAWS on the two social media platforms.
On Facebook, the H key can now be used more reliably to move between headings in the feed. A problem that could send users back to the top of their Facebook feed while scrolling has also been fixed.
Reddit users should also find it easier to move through their home feed using headings.
The update includes a number of other fixes and improvements across Microsoft Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint, along with updates for braille users and web browsing.
JAWS, or Job Access With Speech, is a screen reader for Windows used by people who are blind and low vision to access websites, apps and other digital content.
