Concept3D, a provider of interactive campus experiences, has announced that its Interactive Maps, 360 Tours, and Localist Event Calendar are now WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliant.
This helps public colleges and universities meet federal digital accessibility standards under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). “Accessibility is core to how we design, build, and test our products,” said Jill Bobrick, Head of Product at Concept3D. “We’re committed to ongoing accessibility, not just ticking a box.”
Christopher Edwards, the Senior Accessibility Analyst and Technical Lead at Centre for Accessibility Australia, welcomed the development. “On many web sites, maps are among the most challenging content to make accessible due to their complex visual nature and the limited author control over some third-party solutions. Having a provider that integrates accessibility so deeply is a great boon.”
Concept3D’s products are designed with accessibility in mind, with ongoing testing and feedback incorporated into development. The company is already aligned with WCAG 2.2 for Maps and 360 Tours, with Localist Events to follow. Updated VPATs will support procurement and compliance.
