Text says 'accessibility life hacks'. New series launch. An original Centre for Accessibility Australia series. Below are the logos of Centre for Accessibility Australia and the Department of Communities WA.

We at Centre for Accessibility Australia (CFA Australia) are excited to announce the launch of our new video series, “Accessibility Life Hacks.” This series is designed to provide practical tips and solutions for people with disability and is part of our Systemic Advocacy Grant sponsored by the Department of Communities WA.

The Digital Access WA Project, a state-wide initiative to create advocacy, education, measurement, and support to improve digital accessibility standards, has been a key driver of our work in this area. Through this project, we have had the opportunity to engage with people with disability, provide education and outreach programs, and conduct website accessibility audits for not-for-profit organisations and schools.

The first video in the “Accessibility Life Hacks” series explores how AI can be used to provide alt text for images that don’t have it on mobile devices. This is just one example of the many ways technology can be used to improve digital accessibility.

The “Accessibility Life Hacks” series will cover a range of topics, from accessible tech to inclusive design practices. We’ll be releasing a new video every month, so stay tuned for more!

Watch our first video now and learn how to use AI to add alt text to images on mobile devices.

CFA Australia would like to thank the Department of Communities WA for their generous sponsorship.
