A pair of hands signing in Auslan. Text says Auslan available now. Text says SBS On Demand is now offering Auslan (sign language) on-screen with certain content.

SBS has marked Global Accessibility Awareness Day by introducing Auslan (Australian Sign Language) on-screen content to its On Demand platform. A range of titles across multiple genres is now available with Auslan, including news and current affairs programs, children’s shows, dramas, and documentaries.

The Auslan content collection features popular titles such as:

Our Deaf Ways series, produced in partnership with Deaf Australia

News and current affairs programs like Insight, Dateline, and NITV’s The Point

Children’s shows like Little J & Big Cuz, Eddie’s Lil’ Homies, and Barrumbi Kids

SBS original dramas True Colours and Swift Street

Documentaries like Off Country, The First Inventors, and The Matchmakers

To access the Auslan content, users can visit SBS On Demand or search for the keyword ‘Auslan’ in the SBS On Demand app. This initiative builds on SBS’s existing collaboration with Deaf Connect, which provides regular SBS News content with Auslan on YouTube.
