Yuemei has worked as an occupational therapist for 16 years, specialising in sensory loss and assistive technology. She has worked across various sectors, including not-for-profits, government, and private organisations, in roles such as a Workplace Modification Assessor, Assistive Technology Specialist, and Assistant Director.
Yuemei is passionate about empowering people with disability to achieve independence through mainstream and specialised technology. She has developed accessible resources, including marketing materials, websites, and apps, for individuals who are blind or have low vision.
Outside of work, Yuemei loves to get creative – for the last ten years she has been an event florist and has recently taken up pyrography (wood engraving) and pottery.
