Forbes has opened nominations for its second-annual Accessibility list, spotlighting top innovators and impact-makers in areas like communication, mobility, software, and education.
The list will feature 200 individuals and companies making a difference in accessibility for people with disability.
Nominations are open until February 24, and anyone can submit a nomination.
Last year’s Accessibility 100 list garnered global attention, prompting Forbes to expand this year’s list.
Forbes defines accessibility as providing people with disability equitable access to information, content, public spaces, and experiences. Types of accessibility include digital (technology, software, websites, etc.), physical (access to public transportation, activities, and buildings), and experiential (sports, careers, etc.).
Digital accessibility is a key aspect, as it enables people with disability to access information, content, and experiences through technology, software, and websites.
Eligible nominees include companies, individuals, or innovators with current, broad-impact initiatives. Advocacy organisations and charitable foundations are generally not eligible.
