Text says reading made easier: Window 11's accessibility features. A computer is on a table. On the computer is Windows 11.

Microsoft has introduced two new features in Windows 11 that aim to make reading easier for people who have dyslexia and dysgraphia. These tools, Reading Coach and Immersive Reader, are part of the company’s ongoing efforts to make technology more accessible and inclusive.

Reading Coach is designed to help users build confidence in their reading skills. It allows people to read out loud at their own pace and offers gentle, personalised feedback on how they’re doing. The tool can highlight tricky words and provide guidance on pronunciation, making it especially helpful for those who might struggle with reading fluently.

Immersive Reader, already popular in other Microsoft apps, is now integrated more deeply into Windows 11. It offers features like text-to-speech, line focus, adjustable spacing, and the ability to highlight parts of speech. These options help reduce distractions and make reading more comfortable.
